q First children’s product published by Tyndale was Taylor’s Bible Story Book (1970), by Dr. Kenneth Taylor with artwork by Richard and Frances Hook.

q First Tyndale Bible published for children was The Children’s Living Bible in 1972. This best-selling Bible has sold more than 3,000,000 copies to date.

q First Tyndale children’s product to sell 1,000,000 units was My First Bible in Pictures. It is still Tyndale’s all-time best-selling Bible storybook. This Bible pioneered the carry-along handle popular on many children’s Bibles today.

q First Tyndale children’s product on a CBA bestseller list was My First Bible in Pictures—it was selling strong even before the CBA bestseller lists were formed.

q First children’s authors published by Tyndale (other than founder Ken Taylor) were Myrna Grant who wrote the Ivan series about life in Soviet Russia, Virginia Muir who penned The Bible for Children, and Hilda Stahl who authored the Elizabeth Gail series.

q Left Behind: The Kids series has set new records for children’s product within both Tyndale and the industry. Released 1998, the series had sold 1,000,000 units by summer 1999 and has sold 7.5 million units to date. This series has dominated many bestseller lists (including CBA and PW) for more than two years.

§ SuperBook: Tyndale has distributed this video series since 1985. Created by CBN, SuperBook has sold more than 1,000,000 copies and has been broadcast around the world including Russia and China.

§ Wee Sing: Tyndale has distributed this popular music series since 1991, with more than 1,000,000 sold to date.

§ McGee & Me: Tyndale has distributed this video series since 1989. Created by Focus on the Family, the series has sold more than 3,000,000 copies and has been broadcast in more than 70 countries. Tyndale also distributes “Adventures in Odyssey” and “Last Chance Detective” videos from Focus on the Family.

§ Dorling Kindersley: Tyndale has distributed this product line since 2000, with 20 books available by end of 2001. Tyndale serves as DK’s “editorial specialists” for the religious marketplace, offering editorial direction and/or content for all CBA-distributed titles.
