At least one Lucado title has appeared on the Evangelical Christian Publishers
Association (ECPA) list each month since July 1990, more than 11 years. In the Eye of the Storm (W Publishing
Group) earns Lucado the first of nine eventual ECPA Gold Medallion Book Awards.

Lucado publishes his first children’s book, Just in Case
You Ever Wonder (Tommy Nelson).
Lucado launches his national radio broadcast, “UpWords,” currently heard
on more than 1,000 radio stations on three continents

Lucado serves as general editor for a best-selling and
award-winning Bible, The Inspirational Study Bible (W Publishing

(W Publishing Group) wins the Charles “Kip” Jordon Christian Book of the Year

Lucado releases his first children’s video, “Alabaster’s
Song” (Tommy Nelson), based on the best-selling book of the same name
1997 Lucado wins his second ECPA Christian Book of the Year Award for In the Grip of Grace (W Publishing Group)
1998 Here To Him Music
releases Lucado’s first companion music CD project, “God Came Near”
1999
Lucado serves as keynote speaker for the National Prayer
Breakfast in Washington, DC; Lucado is profiled in a USA Today feature
story. With Just Like Jesus (W
Publishing Group), Lucado becomes the first and only author to win a third ECPA
Christian Book of the Year Award
2001 Lucado is the featured speaker for a national television special, “He Chose the Nails,” which aired on Fox Family, PAX-TV, Trinity Broadcasting Network, and other networks, with a potential audience of more than 809,000,000. Lucado embarks on his first speaking/concert tour, “He Chose the Nails Live Concert Tour,” along with Christian music artists Jeff Deyo, Kim Hill, Natalie Grant, Wes King and Nicole C. Mullen.
2001 Lucado’s total
books in print reaches 25 million units—he has written trade books, children’s
books, gift books, Bible study guides, and served as general editor of The
Inspirational Study Bible.
2001 Release of Traveling
Light, based on the text of Psalm 23, sparks an initial laydown of 250,000
copies. Companion products include the Traveling
Light Devotional Journal, a Spanish edition and an audio book edition. Licensed products begin to release late
2001.
2002
A multi-artist music project entitled “Traveling Light:
Music of Psalm 23” will release March 5, 2002, from Creative Trust
Workshop. Additional foreign language
editions of Traveling Light as well as new licensed products will
release in 2002.
