NASHVILLE,
TN—For the first time in his publishing career, Max Lucado will have an
original publication simultaneously released in English and Spanish. Traveling Light is releasing in a
paperback Spanish edition, entitled Aligere Su Equipaje, and both
editions are shipping this month. The
Spanish edition is available for worldwide distribution via Editorial Betania.
Marketing
plans for the Spanish edition include Spanish radio spots in U.S. Hispanic
radio stations and in Latin America, a 5-minute CD radio program sent to
Hispanic radio programmers in Latin America, ads in Spanish Christian trade and
consumer magazines, as well as a feature in Caribe Betania’s Impresiones
magazine, a consumer magazine sent free to customers around the world. Consumers and retailers can visit www.caribebetania.com for further
information on the new title.
“We are delighted to have this Spanish
language edition of Traveling Light available simultaneously with the English
edition,” explains Marcella Gomez of Caribe Betania. “Max’s books are immensely popular throughout the
Spanish-speaking world, but we have previously delayed the release of the
Spanish edition by several months.”
The
W Publishing Group, which publishes Lucado’s trade titles, expects to create
numerous ancillary products for Traveling Light. The book will be translated into other
languages for release in 2002 and beyond; previous Lucado titles have been
published in almost two dozen languages and are distributed worldwide. Other ancillary Traveling Light
products include an English audio edition, a Traveling Light devotional
journal and a Traveling Light music project from Creative Trust Workshop
(Spring 2002).
