Gives Winner a Trip Halfway Around the World
Grand Prize is a Free Trip to New Zealand
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA–-John Muszynski
of Toledo, Ohio, was given a trip of a lifetime courtesy of Parable.com. Parable.com selected Muszynski in a random
drawing for an all-expense-paid trip for two to New Zealand to attend the
Parachute Extreme Christian Music Festival, January 23-27, 2002. Thousands of visitors entered the contest,
which was featured on all Parable.com websites in late 2001.
The
contest ran on Parable.com from November to mid-December 2001 and was extremely
successful. “We had more than 13,000
official entries overall,” says Judi Peet, Internet Merchandiser for Parable
Interactive. “The large response shows
that the right Internet promotions can definitely increase traffic to a
website. And that is what Parable
Interactive is trying to do every day for its Private Label sites.”
Muszynski not
only wins a trip for two to New Zealand, but also he received two passes to the
Parachute Extreme Festival, a meal backstage with one or more of the headline
performers, a variety of Festival-branded merchandise, $250 in cash for
traveling expenses, a library of CDs featuring the festival performers and a
library of CDs from Here To Him Music.
The value of the entire prize package is worth more than $5,000. In addition, fifteen 2nd place
winners received a complete library of CDs from Here to Him Music and from the
headliners from the Parachute Extreme Festival, and thirty 3rd place
winners received the complete library of CDs from Here to Him Music.
More than
20,000 fired-up fans are expected to attend the Parachute Extreme Festival in
Auckland, New Zealand, this month.
Headlining the event are Christian bands OC Supertones, Delirious, The
Katinas, Salvador and Skillet.
