Can
the 2004 Election Save the Supreme Court?
Robertson Suggests Remedy for Supreme Court
Power Grab
Rescue From the Life We
Thought Would Make Us Happy
According to New York Times best-selling author Pat
Robertson, the destiny of the United States of America may very well depend on
the outcome of the 2004 Presidential election.
Robertson, who holds a juris doctor degree from Yale
University Law School, believes
the next President will powerfully shape the nation’s future by appointing new
Supreme Court justices. Robertson’s new
book, Courting Disaster: How the
Supreme Court is Usurping the Power of Congress and the People (Integrity
Publishers, Sept. 21, 2004), outlines both the downward spiral of the Court’s
current liberal agenda as well as a plan for returning justice to the justice
system.
“The agenda of the Supreme
Court during the past five decades,” Robertson asserts, “is unmistakable and
far-reaching.” That reach can be
diminished if the next President, along with a willing Congress, is called to
fill more than one Supreme Court vacancy—increasing the importance of the
November 2 election. “With a new
Congress in 2005, something good may be possible,” writes Robertson.
In the well-documented
pages of Courting Disaster, Robertson outlines what he sees as an unconstitutional
takeover by the judicial branch of government.
From stripping prayer and Bible reading from classrooms to decisions
regarding free speech, equal rights and human life, Robertson suggests that the
will of the majority of the American people has been defied. But he also suggests a new course for the
future: a return to the original intent of our nation’s founders, and a
restoration of justice at the highest levels of government. Robertson offers dozens of legal rulings to
support his assertion that the Supreme Court has usurped power, defied the will
of the people and distorted justice.
“It
is up to the American people to insist that their majority views are
respected,” comments Byron Williamson, Publisher of Integrity Publishers. “That’s why Courting Disaster is such
an important book for every American.
It is both a call for sanity and a call for action.” Integrity Publishers is supporting the
release of Robertson’s new book with an exhaustive marketing plan. Elements of the campaign include:
