Cancer and The Lord’s Prayer

QUESTIONS FOR GREG ANDERSON

  1. Like many other Americans, you’ve heard the doctor say “I’m sorry, it’s cancer.”  But your prognosis was even more frightening when the cancer recurred.  Tell us what the doctor told you.

  2. What was your reaction to the prognosis?  Were you angry with God?

  3. But you are now a 22-year cancer survivor, so the prognosis was wrong.  What changed?

  1. Since you credit prayer as the central point in your own cancer recovery, do you recommend prayer for other cancer patients?

  1. And you believe the Lord’s Prayer [or the “Our Father”] has a unique role in healing the body?

  1. Your write in this new book, Cancer and The Lord’s Prayer that immediate and complete physical healing may not be the healing God wills for every cancer patient. What do you mean by that?  What other healing do you think God has in mind?

  1. Is prayer alone enough of a treatment plan?  If not, what else do you recommend a cancer patient include in his or her treatment plan?

  1. You and your wife have founded a tremendous organization called Cancer Recovery Foundation.  What resources can a cancer patient or a family member access through your foundation?

  1. As we wrap up, can you offer some hope for the listener/viewer who has just been diagnosed with cancer?
