Bill Martin Jr, best-known for his
classic children’s books such as Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, is co-authoring a new book entitled Adam,
Adam, What Do You See? (Tommy Nelson) for release this fall. Bill Martin Jr. and Michael Sampson have
partnered to create a new book featuring the rhythmic cadence of Brown Bear,
numerous well-loved characters from the Bible, and bright, splashy
illustrations by artist Cathie Felstead.
Adam, Adam, What Do You See?
is a necessary addition to the library of Bill Martin Jr fans who collect his
classic children’s books such as Brown Bear (more than four million
sold), The Ghost-Eye Tree, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Barn Dance
and more than 300 others. But for those
who are seeking biblically based reading for young children, this new book will
hold a unique appeal: biblical characters and storylines within the text.
Instead of the animals or children
featured in many of his other books, Martin and co-author Michael Sampson have
filled the pages of Adam, Adam with biblical characters such as Ruth,
Moses, Noah, Peter, Paul, and Jesus.
And when they discover the line that reads “Little child, little child,
what do you see? I see Jesus watching
over me,” long-time fans will be delighted to see God’s love woven into such a
well-crafted, enjoyable storyline.
