The CURE for the Chronic Life
|Overcoming the Hopelessness That Holds You Back|
Deanna Favre and Shane Stanford were both raised in small towns in Southern Mississippi where they first met several years ago. Aside from sharing a distinct Southern drawl, they both share a deep faith in God and experience with life-threatening illness. They have combined their strengths and stories to craft The CURE for the Chronic Life a new book that encourages readers to live beyond their chronic hopelessness and experience joyful living.
DEANNA FAVRE is an American activist and New York Times bestselling author of Don’t Bet Against Me: Beating the Odds Against Breast Cancer and in Life. She is also the wife of Minnesota Vikings quarterback and NFL legend Brett Favre.
Deanna, with her husband Brett, founded the The Brett Favre 4Ward Foundation in 1995, to help give back to the communities in which they live. Deanna, a breast cancer survivor, began the Deanna Farve 4 Hope Foundation to provide grants to breast cancer patients in Mississippi and Wisconsin.
In 2010, the two charities merged to form the Favre 4 Hope Foundation, to provide financial assistance to various 501c3 non-profit partners offering support to disadvantaged and disabled children and under-insured or uninsured breast cancer patients. Deanna serves as CEO/President of this new entity.
She has been featured on ESPN’s Monday Night Football special, ABC’s Good Morning America and The 700 Club. Deanna is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi.
Deanna and her husband, Brett, are the parents of two daughters and one grandson.
