Pamela has always loved books. Her mother’s long-ago words echo from her childhood: “Put down that book—go out and play!” She's grateful for her Kindle which allows her to read outside more easily, fulfilling mom's command. After all, reading does count as play for some of us.
Armed with the one tool every publicist needs, a degree in elementary education, Pamela plunged into book publicity more than two decades ago. She notes that authors and clients appreciate A+ media hits, and she still whips her red pen out upon occasion (for press releases, not manuscripts). Her love of book reports has evolved into a long career of sharing great books with media contacts.
Pamela’s lifelong ambition -- to travel the world -- was somewhat hampered by the birth of three children in three years (now ages 11, 8 and 8). So far she has marked six countries and two continents off her bucket list: the US, Canada, Honduras, South Africa, Kenya and Malawi. If your worldwide book tour requires a publicist on site in Europe, South America, Antarctica or Asia, she'd love to chat with you. Or if you find yourself in the exotic location of Franklin, Tennessee, make sure you request the world-class tour.
