McClure-Muntsinger Public Relations Launches September 1999 Pamela McClure and Jana Ford Muntsinger, formerly of Word Publishing, have launched a new public relations agency specializing in book promotions. McClure Muntsinger Public Relations, based in Nashville, began business September 1999 with several major contracts. The agency's first clients include Word Publishing, J. Countryman gift books and Tommy Nelson children's books; first book projects include titles by Max Lucado, Frank Peretti, Dan Quayle, Thomas Kinkade, Joni Eareckson Tada and Misty Bernall. Pamela McClure, Chief Executive Officer of the new agency, was formerly the Public Relations Director at Word Publishing where she had been since 1991. McClure studied education in college and taught middle school students before coming to Word. Jana Muntsinger, President, was formerly Publicity Projects Director at Word Publishing where she had spent almost seven years on staff. Muntsinger, a Baylor graduate, worked for the American Cancer Society and Hill & Knowlton Public Relations in Washington, D.C., before Word. McClure Muntsinger Public Relations specializes in the promotion of Christian and inspirational books including publicity, author tours, special events and online promotions.
