·                     You’ve written an entire book focusing on John 3:16.  Is one verse really that important?

·                     You say that Jesus summed up his life within John 3:16?  How so?

·                     How do you handle the question, “why is this world so hard?”  What do you say to someone struggling through a truly difficult life?

·                     John 3:16 presents God’s offer of unending life and love.  Who has been an example of God’s unending love to you?

·                     You are pretty specific in this book in regard to Jesus’ claim to be the one way to eternal life.  Can’t other spiritual paths lead to heaven? Isn’t it enough to simply live the best life you can?

·                     In this new book, you have chapters on heaven and hell.  What do you believe heaven will be like?  And hell?

·                     Can someone “out-sin” God’s love and forgiveness?

·                     What is heaven’s “whoever” policy?

·                     Earlier this year, you announced your retirement as Sr. Minister at Oak Hills Church, the church you joined as senior minister in 1987.  How will your writing process (first preaching, then writing) change in the future?

·                     How has contemplating retirement affected you?  Is it hard to slow down or cut back?  Has Oak Hills yet identified a new Senior Pastor?
